Wrapping with Fabric: my collaboration with Eazy Wraps

If you’ve been around my world for a while, you’ll know how much I love finding beautiful, sustainable ways to wrap gifts. So when the chance came up to collaborate with Sue Eagle from Eazy Wraps, I jumped at it. Not only does she create gorgeous furoshiki (fabric wraps), but the story behind them is something really special — and if you haven’t heard it yet, we actually talked all about it on the podcast episode we recorded together. It’s such a great listen if you want to hear the behind-the-scenes of how Eazy Wraps began and why Sue is so passionate about rescued fabrics.

Why Fabric Wraps Make Such a Brilliant Alternative to Paper

Paper gift wrap is fun… but it’s not always the greenest option. A huge amount of wrapping paper can’t be recycled, especially the shiny, glittery, laminated kind. Fabric wraps are a lovely solution because they can be used again and again — by you, or passed on to the next person as part of the gift. They feel luxurious, they fold beautifully, and they’re perfect for awkward shapes too. Once you try fabric wrapping, it’s hard to go back!

What Makes Sue’s Wraps So Unique

Sue’s approach is wonderfully thoughtful. Every Eazy Wrap is made right here in the UK using deadstock or surplus fabric — the kind that would usually be destined for landfill. Instead, she transforms it into something stylish, useful, and planet-friendly. Each wrap has a bit of history, a texture, a colourway that makes it feel special. And because the fabrics vary depending on what’s been saved, the designs are always changing. It’s slow gifting at its best.

Collaborating at the Home, Life & You Show

Sue and I teamed up at the Home, Life & You Show, and it was such a joy. I ran mini wrapping workshops, demonstrating how to make mini gift bags with paper and also how to wrap books with books using Eazy Wraps fabric wraps. People were genuinely surprised by how quick and easy the process is — and how lovely the finished result looks!

We spent the whole day chatting, sharing ideas, and meeting some really fab people. The atmosphere was buzzing… and the highlight? Sue got to meet Marie Kondo and gift her an Eazy Wrap! Yes, the Marie Kondo - it absolutely sparked joy!

Fancy Trying One for Yourself?

If you’d love to add a bit of eco-friendly charm to your Christmas or birthday wrapping, I’d definitely encourage you to try one of Sue’s wraps. They’re reusable, beautifully made, and feel like a gift in their own right.
