One of the greatest joys of running Giftwrapped by Eve is connecting with like-minded businesses that share a passion for sustainable gifting. Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Jane Southgate, founder of Furoshiki Wrap Company for an online masterclass. I have outlined below why I enjoyed it so much and why you should consider furoshiki too.
A Shared Commitment to Sustainability
At the heart of this collaboration was a shared commitment to eco-friendly wrapping. Furoshiki, the beautiful Japanese art of fabric wrapping, perfectly aligns with my mission to help make greener gifting easy. Partnering with a company that specialises in these stunning wraps felt like a natural extension of what Giftwrapped by Eve is all about. Whilst I focus on using paper in my wrapping masterclasses, I am also keen to learn more about stylish alternatives to traditional wrapping paper.
An Introduction to Fabric Wrapping
While many in my community are familiar with eco-friendly paper wrapping techniques, furoshiki offers an entirely new dimension of creativity and elegance. Through this masterclass, we were able to give a taster of just how versatile and fabric wraps can be.
Learning and Teaching Together
Jane brought so much knowledge and passion to the session and it was wonderful to be able to be a participant in the class myself. Hosting this masterclass online allowed us to reach people far and wide, not just in the UK where Furoshiki Wrap Company and Giftwrapped by Eve are based.
What’s Next?
If you missed it, don’t worry—you can access the class via the Greener Gifting Gang membership or purchase the recording as a one-off class.
A huge thank you to Jane being such a fantastic partner in this venture. If you haven’t yet explored Furoshiki Wrap Company’s stunning wraps, I highly recommend checking them out!
